Yellow dress

The first moment I saw yellow dress,
Everything aligned into place.
Fear evaporated from the hot rays,
Silence in midst of busy place.

As we sat to unite our minds,
I beheld the most colorful eye.
I fell into the wonderous pit,
And could not scramble out since.

We spoke for what felt like a minute,
I began to think you may fall in love.
But then my word went amiss,
Her dress turned dark blue.

Busy place turned empty,
And her steps lead to safety.
My empty words try to stop her,
There is no use.

Fear condenses on my forehead,
As there is no yellow dress to evaporate it.
Throbbing pain quenches,
Colorful eye I will never see again.

The tremendous pain can’t describe it,
No point of living engulfs me.
It really feels like I must move the mountains,
But weakness finally doesn’t let me.
